Giving
Supporting Gospel Ministry in Burnie and Beyond
At Burnie Anglican, we believe that everything we have comes from God, and that giving is one of the ways we respond to his grace with gratitude and trust. Generosity is not simply about meeting needs—it is an act of worship, a sign of our partnership in the gospel, and a joyful participation in God’s work in the world.
The Bible encourages us to support the work of Christian ministry, to provide for gospel workers, and to care for those in need. This principle is beautifully expressed in 2 Corinthians 9:6–8:
“The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”
If you are a follower of Jesus, consider Burnie Anglican your church home, and are not in financial hardship, we encourage you to prayerfully consider how you might partner in this ministry through regular and generous giving. This is not about obligation, but about joyful participation in what God is doing among us and beyond us.
Your giving supports the life and ministry of our local congregation—our gatherings, discipleship, and outreach—as well as our wider mission. We partner with organisations such as the Church Missionary Society (CMS) and the Bush Church Aid (BCA), and contribute to the work of Anglican Relief and Development Fund – Australia (ARDFA) supporting gospel proclamation and compassionate care both in Australia and around the world.
We encourage members to give regularly—whether weekly, fortnightly, or monthly—in a way that reflects both your circumstances and the regular rhythms of church life. Many find it helpful to set up a recurring bank transfer as a simple and consistent way to give.
Above all, we give in response to God’s abundant generosity to us in Christ. As the Scriptures remind us: “All things come from you, and of your own have we given you” (1 Chronicles 29:14).
May God graciously provide for you, and through you, so that together we may share abundantly in every good work.
Your giving allows us to bring the light of the gospel as we minister locally and globally.
We have several safe and easy ways for you to give, and if you are a regular member of our church family, we encourage you to prayerfully consider what you might contribute to the work that God is doing through
